Expressions of Interest – Network Engineers (Defence)Profectus is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Network Engineers to support upcoming opportunities within the Australian Government. We are looking to connect with engineers who have delivered secure network capability within Defence or similar complex, highly regulated, secure environments. These engagements are anticipated to be onsite in Canberra and will support mission-critical systems within operational Defence settings.About the OpportunitiesDuties are likely to include:Designing, configuring and supporting secure enterprise and deployable network environmentsContributing to the integration of network hardware, software and systems within complex ICT ecosystemsSupporting routing, switching and WAN environments across secure and segmented networksProducing and maintaining technical documentation, including design artefacts, configuration guides and standard operating procedures\Conducting troubleshooting, fault analysis and remediation across network infrastructureSupporting network accreditation, security controls and compliance activitiesWorking closely with project teams, vendors and Defence stakeholders to deliver integrated solutionsProviding input into system upgrades, refresh activities and continuous improvement initiativesWe are keen to hear from professionals who:Have experience working within Defence or similar secure Government environmentsHold an active AGSVA NV1 security clearance (NV2 highly regarded)Hold a current CCNA certification (CCNP desirable)Demonstrate strong understanding of routing and switching technologies (e.g. OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs and network segmentationHave experience with WAN technologies and secure network architecturesPossess working knowledge of Linux operating systems within networked environmentsUnderstand cybersecurity principles as they relate to network engineering in secure domainsAre confident producing technical documentation and engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAre comfortable working onsite in Canberra, with potential domestic travelWhy ProfectusProfectus partners with Australian Government agencies to deliver trusted ICT and engineering capability across secure environments.
