Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Transmission Test Bench Operator will join our Powertrain Department on a full-time basis at our Guildford location. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining test benches to conduct various tests on transmissions, control valves, and hydraulic pumps. You'll play a critical role in testing, analysing data, and troubleshooting CAT transmissions and related components to ensure peak performance.
Our Transmissions Store assembles transmissions and torque converters to a "like-new" condition, ensuring customers achieve full component life. Components are stripped, assessed, and a CAR report is provided to customers detailing findings and costs. Once parts are ready, they are assembled, painted, and corrosion-wrapped for protection.

* Analyse data and troubleshoot CAT transmissions and hydraulic systems
* Collaborate with workshop teams for efficient workflow
* Maintain accurate test records and documentation
Skills & Experience
* Australian Recognugnised Mechanical Trade Certificate
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Understanding of service reporting and literature
* Heavy equipment product knowledge; component change-out and overhaul experience (desired)

* Experience completing rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment
