Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to oversee and support civil construction projects on site. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all design, specification, and contractual requirements, while assisting supervisors in managing resources, personnel, and project performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee, coordinate, and execute daily civil construction operations on-site, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards
* Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and programs
* Ensure all site activities comply with design specifications, contractual obligations, and safety, quality, and environmental standards, proactively addressing and resolving engineering issues as they arise.
* Oversee the preparation, evaluation, and approval of technical documentation—including RFIs, ITPs, and as-built records—to ensure accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.
* Lead effective communication and coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful achievement of project objectives.
* Oversee project budgets and site resources, applying engineering expertise to drive cost-effective and timely project delivery.
* Conduct site inspections and support issue resolution
* Comply with HSEQ standard on site work, implementing and enforcing safety systems and best practices
* Identify and drive process and design enhancements to improve project performance, safety, and quality outcomes.
Skills & Experience
· Degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
· At least 3 years' experience in civil/site infrastructure or building projects
· Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, QA and WHS systems
· Proficient with AutoCAD; exposure to Structural design software advantageous
· Strong planning and coordination skills; confident with short-term programming and look-aheads
· Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable managing RFIs, reports and stakeholder updates
· Construction Induction (White Card) and Australian driver's licence required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
