We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented team member to join our workshop team in an office-based role supporting our laser cutting and fabrication operations.
This position would suit someone with experience in fabrication, laser cutting drafting, or estimating who enjoys working with drawings and helping turn customer concepts into finished jobs.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing quotes for laser cutting jobs (plate and tube laser)
* Reviewing and modifying customer drawings for manufacturing
* Preparing files for laser cutting
* Assisting with simple 2D design work for customers
* Organising and coordinating jobs through the workshop
* Communicating with customers regarding drawings and job requirements
About You
* Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
* Understanding of fabrication and laser cutting processes
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Workshop or fabrication experience is beneficial but not essential
