About the business and the role
Zero ASBESTOS is a local Brisbane/Sunshine Coast business operating out of Coopers Plains and Warana (this position is based out of Warana). Our business is growing and our team of reliable, conscientious and enthusiastic employees has built solid reputations among our clients with superior safety and workmanship.
Job tasks and responsibilities
* Lead day‑to‑day site operations for asbestos removal and mould remediation projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil sites.
* Oversee site setup, equipment readiness, WHS documentation, inductions, site photos, toolbox talks, and compliance requirements, maintaining strong safety practices in line with ISO45001.
* Supervise, support, and develop team members, including training, coaching, performance management, and maintaining a positive, high‑standard workplace culture.
* Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, neighbours, and internal departments, managing variations, resolving on‑site issues, and ensuring projects run on budget and within scope.
* Maintain accurate records including day dockets, safety paperwork, daily logs, near‑misses, injury documentation, equipment checks, and authorisations, ensuring all company procedures are followed.
* Manage multiple sites and crews, ensuring quality, compliance, equipment care, time management, and strict adherence to company policies, procedures, vehicle requirements, and integrated management systems.
Skills and experience
* A current construction industry white card.
* Ability to pass a drug screening.
* Must have a "Can Do" positive attitude.
* Ability to work to specific instructions.
* Be able to work at a fast pace and in a team environment.
* MR licence can be obtained after hiring if not currently held.
* Asbestos removal both A & B Class and Supervisor tickets.
* Minimum 3+ years experience in supervising asbestos removal is required.
