What You'll Be Doing
Provide ongoing clinical operational services within BreastScreen clinics, offering clinical assessments for clients with screen‐detected abnormalities.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Population Health aims to protect and promote the health of the local population, reduce health inequalities, and achieve optimal health and wellbeing for all residents of South Western Sydney. Services include prevention, early intervention, and health promotion programs designed to help individuals and families adopt healthy behaviours and avoid illness. The team works in partnership with the community to create health‐promoting physical and social environments, ensuring accessible, fair, and culturally appropriate services.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current medical registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) or other specialist qualifications recognised under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
* Recent experience and proficiency in mammographic screen reading, mammographic assessment, breast ultrasound and percutaneous biopsies with a current audit certificate of compliance with NAS issued by a BreastScreen service or NSW program.
* Understanding and willingness to comply with the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards (NAS).
* Commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Availability to provide a minimum of one screen reading session per week and a minimum of one assessment clinic per month.
* Commitment to and experience in quality assurance, peer review and continuing education activities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good keyboard skills and proficiency with standard office and radiology software packages.
* Ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate at an LHD level.
