About The Role
The focus is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns.
Wellbeing professionals work as part of the school's student support team.
Responsibilities Include
Undertake individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents and families.
Provide advice on diagnoses provided by external professionals and monitor students' progress.
Administer specialised psycho-educational assessment of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties.
Coordinate or assist in the implementation of professional in-service training programmes for teachers, parents, schools and other professionals.
Identify needs and participate in referral and planning of services for children, parents and families to community agencies.
Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.
