About the role
We are looking for passionate and skilled Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Cooks to join our dynamic team at The "Q" Dining' in Phillip, ACT. As a casual, part-time or full-time Commis Chef, Demi Chef or Cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations, contributing to the preparation and delivery of high-quality, innovative dishes for our discerning customers.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes
2. Ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation
3. Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment in the kitchen
4. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
5. Collaborating with the team to continuously improve kitchen operations and menu offerings
6. Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive work culture
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a Commis Chef, Demi Chef or Cook role
2. Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
3. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
4. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
5. The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
6. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (desirable)
