Overview
An Australian R&D; and manufacturing company based in Adelaide is expanding their production team and is now hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator to support the build of advanced enclosures and components for high-tech systems used in defence, aerospace, and industrial applications.
In this role, you'll work hands-on with sheet metal to produce high-quality parts and assemblies. You'll use a range of fabrication tools and techniques, collaborating with a skilled team in a rapid-paced, practical environment.
This is a full-time, Adelaide-based role with excellent access to public transport and parking.
Full relocation is required for interstate candidates; cost assistance is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate sheet metal components using bending, folding, riveting, and drilling techniques
Assemble enclosures and cabinets, ensuring proper alignment for hinges, fasteners, and fittings
Operate power tools and hand tools to a high standard of workmanship
Read and interpret basic technical drawings and assembly instructions
Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet quality and delivery targets
Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workspace
Requirements
Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly
Competence in using common fabrication tools (e.g. drill press, riveters, folding machines)
Ability to read and follow assembly diagrams and instructions
Strong practical skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a production or workshop environment
Desirable but not mandatory
Experience in cabinet making or assembling metal enclosures
Background in manufacturing for defence, automotive, or industrial sectors
Relevant trade certification in sheet metal fabrication
