Job Description

This role involves ensuring that infrastructure projects adhere to environmental permits and regulations, mitigating risks, and maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

You will provide input into the development of Construction Environmental Management Plans, conduct regular environmental audits and compliance inspections at construction sites, monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State environmental approvals, regulations, and project requirements.

* Key roles and responsibilities include:
o Providing input into the development of Construction Environmental Management Plans.
o Conducting regular environmental audits and compliance inspections at construction sites.
o Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State environmental approvals, regulations, and project requirements.
o Working closely with project managers and construction teams to identify and address environmental risks.
o Providing guidance and support on environmental best practices during construction planning and delivery phase.
o Liaising with regulatory bodies and contractors to ensure compliance with environmental permits and approvals.
o Reviewing and approving contractor environmental documentation, including permits, reports, and studies.
o Conducting environmental incident investigations and implementing corrective actions as required.
o Providing environmental training and awareness programs for construction teams.
o Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship and sustainability.
