We are now looking for a passionate and professional Chef / Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. This is a challenging and rewarding role where you will be required to be hands-on, calm under pressure, and lead from the front.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian cuisine with a focus on South Indian dishes (dosa, idli, vada, curries, biryani, tandoor items, snacks and Indo-Chinese).
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of food.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including stock management and food safety compliance.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
- Contribute to menu planning and new recipe development.
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience as a Chef / Cook in Indian cuisine (South Indian experience highly regarded).
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential for experienced candidates).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Strong understanding of Indian spices, flavours, and cooking methods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
