The Opportunity
We are offering an exciting full-time opportunity for a highly motivated Trainee Property Valuer to join our established team, based in our Tamworth NSW office. This is an entry-level role, with no prior valuation experience required, and is ideally suited to someone seeking to build a long-term career in the property valuation industry.
Our valuers undertake a diverse range of work across rural, commercial, residential, and specialised property types, providing exposure to a broad and varied valuation portfolio throughout the Northern Inland region.
Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support qualified property valuers in the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant property valuations while developing the skills, knowledge, and practical experience required to become a registered property valuer.
As part of a supportive and experienced valuation team, the Trainee Property Valuer will assist with property inspections, data collection, market research, report preparation, and administrative tasks. The successful applicant will be enrolled in and actively completing a Bachelor of Property or equivalent qualification, studying online while receiving structured on-the-job training, mentoring, and professional support.
Key Responsibilities
· Enrol in and actively undertake a Bachelor of Property degree (or equivalent qualification) at a chosen institution
· Assist qualified valuers with the preparation of valuation reports, inspection notes, and supporting documentation, including accurate and complete electronic field notes and files
· Attend property inspections alongside qualified valuers, as required
· Assist with data collection, market research, and analysis to support valuation outcomes
· Provide administrative support to assist daily office operations, valuation processes, and customer service activities
· Support the team in ensuring valuations are completed and delivered within agreed client service levels
· Assist with post-valuation and client support services as required
Essential Criteria
· Strong attention to detail, with well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
· A positive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to learn.
· Sound computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word), or the ability to quickly develop these skills.
· Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a professional environment.
· The ability to learn and apply new processes, systems, and technical information.
· Enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes and positive client experiences.
· A genuine interest in building a career in property valuation and completing a Bachelor of Property or equivalent qualification.
· A current driver's licence.
