Job description Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia
Senior leadership opportunity to shape national marketing, brand and fundraising strategy for one of Australia’s most recognised charities supporting families with ill and injured children.
* Lead national marketing, communications and fundraising strategy during a period of system-wide growth
* Strengthen corporate partnerships and diversify national revenue streams to support families across Australia
* Full-time - Hybrid and flexible working - Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
Impact of the organisation
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Australia supports families with ill or injured children by providing essential accommodation and services close to hospitals. Through Ronald McDonald Houses, the Learning Program, Family Rooms, Family Retreats and Hospitality Carts, RMHC ensures families can stay together and focus on what matters most – their child’s care.
Across Australia, a national network of 12 Chapters operates more than 55 programs including 20 houses, supporting thousands of families each year.
RMHC Australia plays a critical national leadership role within this federated system. The national team enables mission delivery by strengthening collaboration across Chapters, driving shared initiatives and identifying opportunities that increase impact across the network.
With growing demand for services and significant expansion planned across the system, RMHC is entering an important phase of national development. Over the next few years, substantial capital growth is planned across the network, creating new opportunities to support more families across Australia.
At the same time, a new governance arrangement is strengthening national leadership and brand stewardship across the RMHC system, creating greater clarity and opportunity for RMHC Australia to lead national marketing, partnerships and fundraising initiatives.
Impact you will have in this role
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Marketing and Fundraising Officer leads national strategy across brand, marketing, communications, partnerships and fundraising for RMHC Australia.
This role plays a pivotal part in shaping how RMHC grows its national impact - strengthening supporter engagement, expanding partnerships and developing diversified fundraising streams that support families across Australia.
You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary national team across marketing, communications, corporate partnerships and fundraising, managing five direct reports while influencing outcomes across the broader RMHC Chapter network.
Working closely with McDonald’s, corporate partners, the RMHC Board and Chapter leaders, this role will strengthen national collaboration while identifying opportunities to grow revenue, deepen partnerships and elevate the national brand.
You will also help position RMHC Australia to play a stronger national role within the system - supporting Chapters through shared initiatives, strengthening brand alignment and identifying opportunities for collective growth.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and influential leader to shape the future of marketing, partnerships and fundraising for one of Australia’s most trusted charities.
