The Role
The Program Delivery Director role is fundamental to planning, establishing and directing the programmatic aspects to deliver Australia’s SSN AUKUS Build Program, the most complex Defence project undertaken in Australia. You will require extensive experience and knowledge of working in a strategic acquisition program environment. The Program Delivery Director is a key member of the Branch’s executive team and is responsible for integrating multiple program elements to enable accurate planning and management of Australia’s SSN AUKUS Build Program. This includes the capture, assessment and integration of schedule, cost and performance data into properly structured and validated information sets to provide accurate information to executive management. You will be working side by side with industry to ensure program success. The position also provides leadership across a number of areas including build assurance, supply chain, workforce and contract management. About our Team
The SSN-AUKUS Acquisition Branch is the ASA’s program delivery and contractual authority for the construction and delivery of Australia’s future SSN-AUKUS nuclear-powered submarines. The Branch is accountable for managing, in consultation with Australia’s AUKUS partners and the Australian Shipbuilder, the most appropriate program delivery model and construction methodology, including: Collaborating with industry partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery of required program outcomes; Build Assurance and quality management of the SSN-AUKUS Build Program; Defining production related infrastructure requirements; Facilitating and assuring the supply chain solution; Developing and implementing workforce generation initiatives; Managing overall Build Program scheduling and cost estimation; and Providing strategic advice to Government on program progress and related Our Ideal Candidate
