Job Title: Majors Sales Assistant
About the Role:
Sales assistants play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
* Answer member questions, demonstrate merchandise, and explain features.
* Assist members in loading merchandise to cart.
* Maintain current knowledge of technology and trends of sales area merchandise.
* Communicate with supervisors regarding quantity, status, price, delivery, and promotion of merchandise.
* Follow merchandising standards and practices.
* Set up, clean, and maintain merchandise displays.
* Align and face merchandise to front, collect and return stray items, and stock to maintain high merchandise levels.
* Review lists of items for forklift drivers to place in aisles for stocking.
* Participate in merchandise moves.
* Check and approve merchandise for member returns.
* Makes and checks accuracy of merchandise signs and marking.
* Clear debris from the sales floor and perform security lock-up.
* Follow proper merchandising and general safety procedures and standards.
* Identify spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall-danger zone.
* Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
Requirements:

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic math skills and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with merchandising standards and practices.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
