Role description Our Buildings Design business has a growing pipeline of work on the horizon across the east coast which has created an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structures team. Deliver projects across the building and infrastructure sectors, while being mentored by a great senior team comprising Principals, Associate & Technical Directors.
Role accountabilities
Delivery of full structural design on significant building projects in the transport, education, commercial, defence and retail sectors
Managing selected projects (or components of projects), assuming responsibility for resource allocation and management, and ensuring the integrity of the overall design (in collaboration with other design disciplines)
Managing packages (or part packages) of work in re-development and upgrade of existing buildings, new builds and complex structures
Working in collaboration with other design teams and disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
Collaborating with other teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
Reviewing and ensuring compliance in components of projects including drawings, reports, and specifications
Making valuable contributions to our projects through innovation and technical solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience using ETABs, RAPT and SPACEGASS (or similar) Design Software, additional demonstration of other program knowledge would be useful as would familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
Understanding of commercial matters with some degree of business acumen
Ability to think creatively in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner
Demonstrated experience as a strong team player, invested in projects and outcomes and able to contribute to, and lead small teams and groups of people as required
Recognized experience in delivery (or part delivery) of medium to large scale projects to clients through all project phases
Engineering degree, Chartership advantageous.
