Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Corporate Services – Biomedical Engineering Salary: $91,260 - $95,413 per annum (TGO4) / $88,255 - $97,667 per annum (PO2), pro rata, plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits Ongoing Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a Specialist Technical Officer / Professional Officer to join our dynamic Biomedical Engineering team. About the Role: The primary objective of SA BME is to assure the safety, effectiveness, availability and compliance of biomedical technology used directly for patient diagnosis, treatment or monitoring for or in connection with the public hospital and healthcare facilities of SA Health. You will contribute to the effective delivery of specialised biomedical engineering operational services, advice and assistance, to support the ongoing operation, availability, application and maintenance of current and emerging biomedical devices, systems and technologies, which ensures the provision of effective and safe medical and diagnostic services within an agency. This role also provides an opportunity to support the Technical Manager to ensure the effective management of diverse human and physical resources, in order to facilitate the delivery of services that are highly specialised and critical to patient outcomes. The successful applicant may but not limited to, specialise in a specific area of technology or operate at a level of technical complexity across a range of technologies. You may also be required to provide technical guidance to other staff, to support the delivery of research and technological development activities. Key Responsibilities Maintain, calibrate and repair sophisticated biomedical equipment across hospital departments Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on equipment operation Conduct equipment risk assessments and ensure compliance with Australian standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise equipment performance and patient safety Support procurement processes for new biomedical technology Classification & Appointment TGO4: Requires A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline. PO2: Degree in Engineering ( Biomedical ) or equivalent with eligibility for full membership into one of the appropriate professional bodies.
