Job Summary
This is a senior leadership role within the Recovery Funding Directorate and Resilience and Recovery portfolio.
The position supports local government, State agencies and other recovery delivery partners in the development and tracking of recovery funding programs designed for local and regional recovery.
About the Role
This critical leadership role requires a collaborator, complex thinker, a person driven to understand and proactively resolve problems and coordinate the development and implementation of recovery programs in a high pressure environment.
The role will also be responsible for managing a team, thus suiting a seasoned team leader who can motivate people, foster collaboration, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
The scale of disasters arising from natural hazards is increasing, and subsequently the demands on recovery funding have been exponential. With more than 30 current disaster events, DFES is currently managing the allocation of funds to support State and local government delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Support local government, State agencies and other recovery delivery partners in the development and tracking of recovery funding programs.
* Coordinate the development and implementation of recovery programs in a high pressure environment.
* Manage a team, motivating people, fostering collaboration, and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.

1. Evidence of a drivers' licence.
2. A maximum two (2) page statement addressing essential criteria.

About Us
We are an emergency services organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies.
The role will require intrastate travel by road and/or air.
