Job Summary: As Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Trapeze Group Asia Pacific ANZ companies by ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping, efficient processing of financial transactions, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and assisting with cash flow forecasting, payroll oversight, and end-of-month reporting. Working closely with the Financial Controller and other members of the finance team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the finance function by maintaining high levels of accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in financial data. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including outsourced payroll. You’ll have the opportunity to: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, raising purchase orders, expense allocation, project costing, and weekly payment runs as per creditor terms. Maintain accurate supplier records. Reconcile supplier and credit card accounts, process employee expense claims, and handle invoices in accordance with Delegations Authority, including expense allocation and FX calculations. Oversee the checking and processing of payroll by outsourced payroll support, ensuring accuracy, compliance with relevant legislation, and timely payments. Assist in the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and associated schedules. Assist in the preparation of PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation returns according to legislative requirements. Act as a backup to the Accounts Receivable function. What you’ll bring to the role: Experience in a similar commercial role. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. Experience in using accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is an advantage but not mandatory) Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and accounts payable best practices. Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation, PAYG, leave entitlements, and statutory reporting requirements.
