HBT GmbH, headquartered in Luenen, NRW, Germany, is a world-class machine manufacturer and fully integrated single solution provider - specialising in systems and equipment for underground coal mining. The company exports its high-performance longwall mining equipment to all major mining markets worldwide, strategically located in 15 countries including Australia.
The core HBT facilities have the capability for research, development, design, manufacture and testing of longwall mining equipment in-house. All HBT products and systems are produced to the highest standards and compliant with international regulatory requirements.
In addition to machine manufacturing, HBT also manufactures high-quality OE parts and provides world-class support services for their equipment to ensure their customers succeed.
HBT Services QLD is responsible for the overhauls of longwall machinery across QLD and operates under two (3) plants, being Overhauls, Gearbox repairs and Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- The Store Person will be responsible for:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying the accuracy of the shipment against the purchase order.
- Store goods in the appropriate location, ensuring that they are easily accessible and properly labelled.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts and location information.
- Prepare and process orders for shipment, ensuring that they are complete and accurate.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and store goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure that inventory levels are maintained, and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of the asset register.
- Other supply tasks as required.
About You
- Experience working as a Store person within a Warehousing environment.
- A working knowledge of warehouse practices
- Able to work well autonomously and within a team and follow directives with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and time management skills
- Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems experience.
- Valid Driver’s Licence (MR/HR preferred).
- Adhere to and follow all WHS/Safe work Australia regulations and procedures.
Remuneration Information
- Terms and Conditions of Employment are as per the HBT Queensland Enterprise Agreement 2024
- 36-hour ordinary hours
- EA increases in 2026 and 2027
- Afternoon Shift Allowance of 15%
- Night Shift Allowance of 25%
- Weekend work shall be paid at double time for all hours
