Our Melbourne Airport Cargo facility is expanding its customer service team. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
All Customer Service Duties
* Answering and attending to the majority of telephone inquiries.
* Monitoring and responding to customer service emails.
* Calling shipments out to Agents/Consignees/Personal Effects.
* Liaising with Warehouse regarding Bond Checks and monitoring them.
* Tracking & Trace.
* Investigating missing or found cargo.
* Assisting with Quarantine Inspections, Destructions, Seizures, and Abandon Shipments.
* Setting up rotations.
* Training future Customer Service Staff.
Import-Related Functions
* Processing customer collections.
* Handling ULD documentation processing.
* Completing UCR.
* Ensuring security compliance.
* Learning and using the Hermes system.
* Processing empty ULD returns.
* Understanding ABF & DAFF regulations.
* Managing Personal Effect phone outs and collection relays.
* Processing Interline Trucking requests following procedures.
* Ensuring compliance with airline requirements.
* Processing Domestic cargo transfers.
* Handling Pharma shipments and documentation compliance.
Export-Related Functions
* Learning and understanding security compliance – EACE.
* Processing export cargo deliveries.
* Ensuring compliance with airline requirements and documentation.
* Processing ULD documentation.
* Accepting dangerous goods.
* Handling Pharma shipments and documentation compliance.
* Maintaining RACA Compliance.
* Capturing airway bills data in line with IATA regulations.
* Ensuring Hermes compliance and understanding.
Additional Duties
* Front counter customer service (imports).
* Assisting the front counter on busy days.
* Completing Import VCTs.
* Processing invoice payments for non-account holders.
* Performing other duties as required.
Skills, Experience, and Licenses
* Current VIC Driver's License.
* Previous experience in an operational environment with SOPs.
* Intermediate computer skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* High-level customer service skills.
* Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Team player with a positive attitude.
* Works safely at all times.
* Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.

* Australian / New Zealand citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency.

* High level of customer service skills.
* Availability to work on a rotating roster.
