Our Client, SHARAN CONSTRUCTIONS PTY LTD is seeking a skilled, reliable, and experienced Glazier to join its growing team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of glazing and glass installation duties across residential and commercial construction projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with workplace safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine glass types, dimensions, installation methods, and project requirements.
* Measure, cut, shape, fit, install, repair, and replace glass in windows, doors, shopfronts, partitions, skylights, shower screens, and other structures.
* Measure and mark glass for cutting and prepare glass sheets using appropriate tools, equipment, and cutting techniques.
* Cut and shape glass according to templates and specifications using specialised hand and power tools.
* Grind, smooth, and polish rough glass edges using polishing machines, belt sanders, and other glazing equipment.
* Install aluminium frames, pre-assembled metal frameworks, and supporting structures for glass installations.
* Secure and seal glass panels into frames using clips, sealants, putty, weather seals, and related materials to ensure proper fitting and weather protection.
* Install mirrors, glass doors, display cases, balustrades, and metal-framed glass enclosures in accordance with project specifications.
* Remove broken, damaged, or defective glass safely and efficiently prior to replacement or repair work.
* Operate lifting equipment, cranes, hoists, and suction devices to transport and install large or heavy glass panels where required.
* Inspect completed glazing work to ensure compliance with quality standards, measurements, and workplace safety requirements.
* Liaise with customers, supervisors, and team members regarding project timelines, specifications, and installation requirements.
* Perform specialised glass treatment and finishing processes including trimming, coating, etching, sandblasting, and decorative glass work where required.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Glass and Glazing or equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Glazier.
* Strong knowledge of glazing techniques, glass handling, and installation procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
* Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and general physical duties.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work with supervisors, clients, and team members from diverse backgrounds.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation
