HomeRepair is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncorp Group Ltd (Suncorp), a major general insurer in Australia and New Zealand. Our primary business is to provide residential repair and Make Safe services in Australia for insurance claims made by Suncorp's home insurance customers.
About the role
The Talent Engagement & Acquisition Lead is accountable for designing and executing fit for purpose recruitment strategies that enable HomeRepair's long-term capability uplift and growth plan. Operating autonomously, this role partners with business leaders to attract and secure capability while embedding a sustainable recruitment framework that supports internal succession pathways and future workforce readiness.
The role plays a critical part in integrating talent acquisition with broader workforce planning and succession strategies to ensure HomeRepair builds the right capability at the right time.
Responsibilities
* Initiate and deliver projects and incentives that position the organisation to be an employer of choice
* Oversee the end-to-end candidate experience, driving continuous improvement and implementing feedback
* Keep abreast of market trends to provide data driven advice to leaders across the organisation
* Partner with leaders to understand current and future talent needs aligned to organisational growth and strategic priorities
* Lead end-to-end recruitment activities, including role scoping, position description development, job advertisement creation, candidate screening, and interview coordination
* Design and implement bulk recruitment campaigns for bimonthly intakes
Skills & experience
* Previous experience in recruitment (internal and/or agency), ideally within high-growth or operationally complex environments
* Experience in role scoping and performing needs analysis when defining recruitment needs
* Experience managing bulk recruitment campaigns from design to delivery
* Exposure to workforce planning, succession mapping, or capability development (desirable)
* Strong relationship building and influencing skills across a broad range of stakeholders
* Strategic thinking with an ability to align talent acquisition to long term business needs
