**What You Will Be Doing**
Peninsula Health has received funding through the National Partnership Agreement (NPA) COVID-19 Domestic and Family Violence Responses to support older people navigate the service system and link them into services so that elder abuse can be reduced or prevented. This role will work closely with our Elder Abuse Liaison Officer as part of the Integrated Model of Care for Responding to Suspected Elder Abuse. This position will work closely with the Social Work Department and the Aged Care Assessment Team.
The Integrated Model of Care for Responding to Suspected Elder Abuse aims to strengthen elder abuse responses and support five Victorian Health Services create multiple entry points for older people and their families/carers access services to address elder abuse.
We anticipate you will have:
- You will need to hold a Bachelor Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social Work. Post graduate studies are highly regarded and may be eligible for a higher education allowance
- As a multi-site organisation you may be required to work across sites. You will have access to our extensive pool of fleet cars and will need a Victorian Drivers licence.
- You are passionate about providing evidence-based practice in collaboration with clients and their families/carers.
- A strong understanding of community resources and legislation relevant to Elder Abuse and or Family Violence
