Casual Electronic (RF) Technician
We are looking to expand our team with a Casual Electronic (RF) Technician. Full-time hours are available, with an anticipated start from late February.
About the Role
This role involves the manufacture and assembly of complex coaxial cables, cable harnesses, and antennas in accordance with RFShop procedures and Team Leader instructions. The position requires advanced soldering skills, a strong focus on quality and safety, and the ability to identify and escalate non-standard issues when required.
You will be responsible for maintaining high workmanship standards, conducting required testing, and ensuring compliance with RFShop policies, including WHS and emergency procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture and assemble complex coaxial cables, cable harnesses, and antennas in line with RFShop assembly procedures and Team Leader instructions (including labelling and complex assemblies).
* Assemble mixed cable harnesses, including CAT, fibre-optic, and power cables.
* Ensure all products meet required quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly procedures.
* Conduct required testing and ensure all equipment is calibrated correctly prior to use.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse and work environment.
* Escalate non-standard issues to the Team Leader or Warehouse Manager as required.
* Comply with all RFShop policies and procedures, including WHS, emergency protocols, and company manuals.
Essential Requirements
* Advanced soldering skills (essential).
* Certificate in Electronic Assembly (preferred).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing and/or assembly (preferred).
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and procedure manuals.
* Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
* Interest in electronics and a basic understanding of RF systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is desirable but not essential.
