Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
Our Endoscopy/IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) Unit is a modern service in comfortable facilities led by exceptional Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Registered Nurses and other compassionate Caregivers.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the specialty of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) on a 12-month fixed term basis to join our Subiaco Unit.

The Position

- Providing reliable information about a patient’s diagnosis, the effects of their condition, medical treatment options, the effects of medications and what monitoring is needed.

- Act as a constant point of contact for patients and their families, communicating with treating doctors and other members of their health care team. Facilitates treatment at SJOGH infusion unit.

- Assisting patients with access to services and support groups - both in the hospital and in the community.

- Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.

- Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.

- Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.

- Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.

You will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and you will demonstrate clinical experience and knowledge in the area of IBD treatments.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. You will demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

We can offer you

- Salary: $79,755 to $102,048 plus 12% superannuation

- 12-month fixed term part time position working 20 hours per week
