We are currently seeking an experienced chef to support the preparation, handling, and storage of meals at our facility.
This is a maximum term contract of 7 months, working full-time hours on a rotating roster.
* This role would suit a skilled cook who enjoys working in a multi-functional kitchen and likes to place a personal touch on meal design and preparation.
* You must be comfortable completing set kitchen shifts when required.
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar discipline.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial cooking environment, preferably within Health or Aged care facility.
* Demonstrated prior experience in menu development and working with multiple dietary requirements.
* Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation in response to food preparation, handling and storage.
* Ability to respond and adapt to competing priorities while working unsupervised.
* Empathy with Aged People, their families, and Personal Carers.
