We currently have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Sydney branch based in Moorebank. Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations and staff. Oversee team performance, including onboarding, training, and labour hire management. Utilise the Warehouse Management and Inventory System to conduct stock reconciliations and facilitate physical stock movements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Streamline workflows and resource allocation to meet customer requirements and reporting standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers. Manage warehouse maintenance, including equipment upkeep and adherence to safe work procedures. Ensure accurate and timely billing, monitor profitability, and support business growth initiatives. Meet and report on operational KPIs in alignment with business goals. Manage staffing levels, including overtime and labour hire, to meet operational demands. Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ensure full compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: o Customs s.77G Depot o Quarantine Approved Arrangements o Chain of Responsibility o Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) o Dangerous Goods Handling o Air and Maritime Security o Relevant certifications and qualifications Liaise with Australian Border Force and the Department of Agriculture & Water Resources on matters such as non-conformities, audits, and changes to approved arrangements. Oversee yard operations, including pallet control, CTO lodgement and retrieval, FAK import/export, transport coordination, and temporary storage. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to enquiries and issues. Requirements Managerial experience in a similar role within freight forwarding and 3PL Current forklift licence, high reach experience preferred In depth understanding of Customs 77G depot operations and customs compliance Thorough understanding of quarantine approved arrangement operations and ability to maintain compliance of a class 1.3 facility Knowledge of aviation security and the requirements of an Air Cargo Agent Understanding of the loader/unloader’s responsibilities in the Chain of Responsibility for road transport Proven commitment to customer service and a can do attitude Good spoken and written communication skills with good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritise tasks, problem solve and meet deadlines IT literate and able to leverage software and hardware platforms to advantage Commercial and financial acumen What you can expect In Australia, our team of experts provides its services from 6 locations.
