We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will have a strong tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent, experience in underground mining, preferably gold, with exposure to various mining methods and engineering.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing mid to longer term mine designs and plans, collaborating with operations, geology, metallurgy, geotechnical, and production engineer teams, completing stope designs to maximise economic extraction of ore, and undertaking mine infrastructure analysis and projects.
As part of the UG Mining Team, you will work collaboratively to optimise development, grade and productivity. This is an opportunity to be exposed to many aspects of the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

About You:
* Strong tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent
* Experience in underground mining, preferably gold, with exposure to various mining methods and engineering
* Exposure to capital projects and cost estimation across a wide range of mining activities and support services
* Use of mine planning and scheduling software packages, preferably Deswik (CAD and UGDB) and user of Ventsim
* Ability to work collaboratively, and with a diverse range of people across all levels
