We are seeking passionate and experienced Aged Care Chefs to join the Raise Recruitment team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for preparing nutritious and culturally appropriate meals while ensuring dietary needs are met. This role involves traveling to various remote locations, working closely with local communities, and supporting our aged care clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook balanced meals that respect cultural preferences and dietary requirements.
- Work with a team to plan menus that promote nutritional health and variety.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with regulations.
- Engage with residents to understand their dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Participate in community events and activities to foster relationships with residents and their families.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in aged care or similar environments is desirable.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and dietary practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
