The Foster and Kinship Team Leader plays a pivotal role in leading the program to achieve exceptional outcomes for children and carers.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing line management and supervision to Foster & Kinship Caseworkers and other staff as required
* Providing high level, complex case analysis and management support to all staff
* Supporting intensive in-home educational, mentoring, and coaching strategies with caseworkers to aid foster and kinship carers
* Implementing internal audit and continuous improvement processes for the program under the direction of the Program Manager and Quality and Clinical Governance Manager
* Overseeing document lodgement processes between Department of Child Safety and program including licensing, compliance and carer assessments
* Ensuring staff compliance with organisational licencing and auditing process, policies and procedures and legislative requirements through monitoring and supervision practices
* Organising and managing AFKP events, including but not limited to, events for carers and children, multiagency events, and inter-agency meetings
* Assisting the Program Manager with development and ongoing review and updates of Practice Manual
* Assisting the Program Manager with relevant program reports, including incident reporting, compliance and nominee reports
* Actioning critical incidents in accordance with Althea Projects policies and procedures and legislative requirements, including receiving verbal reporting of incidents from staff and providing advice on reporting and responding to critical incidents
* Participating in the 24/7 on call phone support roster and determining escalation pathways to the Department and to Program Manager and/or Senior Leadership for serious and critical incidents
