Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Administration Officer. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the manager and clinical teams, facilitating the smooth operation of the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Service.
The role involves a range of tasks including admissions/transfers/discharges, record management, booking services/appointments, record keeping, managing postal and other correspondence, general filing/typing/copying, deliveries/pickups from other areas and purchasing/stores management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the manager and clinical teams
* Facilitate the smooth operation of the AOD Service
* Manage records, book services/appointments, and maintain accurate records
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience working in a similar support role in a complex organisation
* Ability to make good decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks effectively in a busy work area
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including attention to detail when writing and good listening skills when communicating with managers, colleagues and members of the public
* Competency in the use of common information and communication technology, for example programs for word processing, data entry, emails and internet searches
* Understanding of, and commitment to, providing an excellent customer service and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
* Motivated, able to demonstrate initiative in relation to known work procedures and work under broad supervision
* A broad understanding of health and medical terminology
* Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain
