About the Job
We have an exciting opportunity for a hands on warehouse store person to join our tightly knit team who are committed to delivering outcomes on time, every time. This role you will be involved in all aspects of the day to day warehousing duties, along with the opportunity to fill in for our customer delivery team. You will be dedicated, have excellent organisational skills with a high focus on accuracy and will have previous experience within warehousing, goods receiving/dispatch and will need to take ownership of duties required in a small warehouse.
This position will be reporting directly to the Branch Manager and the major duties include but are not limited to the following key focus areas:
* Receiving and dispatching of goods
* Loading and unloading vehicles, including incoming containers both using a forklift and by hand
* Assisting with regular stocktake
* Liaising with freight companies and couriers
* Daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking and packing of items for delivery in a timely manner (heavy lifting required).
* Cover van delivery runs when staff are away.
* Assist our sales team with deliveries to our local customer base when required
* Uphold our company's standards and values
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:
* Strong organisational skills and time management
* Knowledge of warehouse processes
* Manual Car licence (Mandatory)
* Forklift Licence (Mandatory)
* Accurately pick/pack job orders
* Attention to detail
* Strong communication and customer service skills
