ECommerce Specialist for a Christian Retailer
Koorong is embarking on an exciting digital transformation, revolutionising the customer experience across our eCommerce platforms and 16+ physical stores. With a 40+ year legacy as Australia’s largest Christian retailer, we are committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers—both online and in-store and now looking for a committed Christian to help shape the future of Koorong as our new E-Commerce Specialist.
This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic eCommerce professional to drive significant change, setting and executing the digital strategy that will shape the future of Koorong’s retail presence. As the eCommerce Specialist, you will report to our eCommerce Manager, and work closely with internal teams, vendor partners and key stakeholders to ensure that our eCommerce systems are well maintained, customer-focused and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support the maintenance, optimisation and transition of Koorong’s websites and eCommerce platforms to enhance the customer experience.
- Assist with coordinating priorities and tasks for eCommerce projects, working alongside key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement new functionalities, and support new system integrations.
- Contribute to the development of automation and personalisation within customer engagement platforms to improve user experience.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and customer engagement.
- Provide technical and operational support to Buying, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure smooth eCommerce execution.
- Stay current with digital retail trends and recommend opportunities for improvement and innovation.
About You:
- A committed Christian, aligned with the mission and values of Koorong.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital retail or eCommerce environment.
- Experience with Shopify Plus is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Sound understanding of web platforms, digital design, or related technical fields.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data to inform decisions.
- Genuine passion for contributing to the mission and ministry of Koorong.
