• Senior Process Engineer – Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Our water and wastewater process engineers are involved in the complete water, wastewater and recycled water treatment project life cycle, from investigations, planning studies, design, construction assistance, commissioning and operations support throughout Australia and the Pacific.
Responsibilities
Lead investigations, options assessments and design of municipal treatment plants.
Undertake process reviews, investigations and designs of wastewater and/or water treatment plants.
Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to secure, manage and deliver projects.
Develop and maintain trusted long-term relationships with clients.
Remain at the forefront of technological developments, research and industry best practice.
Mentor and develop more junior colleagues.
Travel to meet work requirements.
Qualifications
Chartered Professional Engineer (or working towards chartered) and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline.
A strong chemical and/or environmental engineering background in the municipal water / wastewater industry.
Municipal water / wastewater project experience.
Experience undertaking and leading investigations, options assessments and design of municipal treatment plants.
Experience in an operational water or wastewater treatment environment.
A broad knowledge of the industry's policies, standards, research, developments and market trends.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally with colleagues, clients, operators, and through preparation of high quality reports and presentations.
A willingness to mentor and develop more junior colleagues.
The flexibility to be both autonomous and work cohesively within a team environment.
A client focus and a track record of being able to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
