Maternal and Child Health Professional
The Australian Family Partnership Program is a voluntary, evidence-based home visitation program that aims to improve maternal and child health and parents' life course.
As a nurse home visitor, you will work with eligible women from early in pregnancy until their child turns two, developing long-term relationships that support them to recognize their strengths, build skills and confidence, access services, and improve their life course.
This role offers high autonomy, flexibility, and personal satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with registered nurses/midwives and Aboriginal family partnership workers to provide home visits and support to clients
* Developing and maintaining relationships with clients to promote their strengths, skills, and confidence
* Assisting clients to access services and improve their life course
* Participating in regular meetings and training sessions to maintain knowledge and skills
Requirements:
* Registered nurse or midwife qualification
* Experience working with Indigenous communities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
