Shinagawa Refractories Australasia employs approximately 100 people, with manufacturing operations in Unanderra NSW, Kwinana WA and New Zealand.
The Unanderra plant is essentially a materials handling, processing & packaging operation and consists of crushers, screens, blenders, mixers, conveyors and packaging equipment.
The ideal candidate will oversee safe and efficient production / manufacturing of the company's products. You will lead the Production team in the plant, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe & efficient day to day operations by coordinating your team of production operators to make sure that consistent and quality goods are produced on time and to specification.
The Role
We are seeking a practical, hands-on Plant Supervisor to lead day-shift operations.
In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while fostering a culture of teamwork.
Working closely with your team, you'll combine strong leadership with problem-solving skills to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards.
* Plan and manage daily plant operations to meet production targets and schedules.
* Provide clear direction, support, and guidance to the team to build capability and drive high performance.
* Maintain quality standards and ensure production objectives are achieved in line with company expectations.
* Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging compliance with best practices and established procedures.
* Collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and proactive resource planning.
