* Collaboratively develop, implement, and maintain an appropriate framework to manage the department's corporate taxation responsibilities
* Lead the high-quality review and analysis of complex taxation matters
* Provide specialist advice and input into the research, analysis, and drafting of policies related to taxation
* Contribute to the preparation of ministerial correspondence and briefings for senior management on taxation matters
* Lead and manage a small, high-performing finance and taxation team
* Provide specialist advice to stakeholders on the impact of taxation legislation changes
* Ensure effective compliance with the department's corporate tax responsibilities
* Enhance the knowledge and further develop the capabilities of self and team members in relation to taxation matters

* Comprehensive knowledge and experience in applying Australian taxation legislation
* Sound awareness of the Financial Accountability Act 2009, the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2019, and relevant accounting standards
* Experience leading activities related to the National Tax Equivalents Regime (NTER)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and managing a small team
* Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
