- **About the Role**:_
We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Lifestyle Officer - Diversional Therapy Team Member to assist in our 160 bed aged care residence based at CABOOLTURE Qld.
Promote wellness, independence, social connections and recreation activities based on the needs and interests of our residents. Assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of meaningful activity programs that engage and connect our residents and aligns with their choices. Assist in the organisation of social and recreational activities.
- **About You**:_
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
You must be experienced in delivering varied lifestyle programs and also comfortable with learning new technology to make a difference to our residents' physiological, physical and emotional wellbeing!
- Previous experience in a similar position as a Lifestyle Assistant - Diversional Therapy Team Member in Aged Care is desirable.
- Preferred applicants will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent be able to demonstrate significant Lifestyle/ Diversional Therapy experience.
- Highly developed English language oral and written communication skills and ability to foster effective relationships with staff, residents and resident representatives.
- Computer skills and willing to learn Aged Care resident care plan software.
- Possess or are willing to obtain a current National Police Certificate
- Experience working within Residential Aged Care and/or experience working with clients with dementia.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive disposition and outgoing personality
- Experience in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating creative, person-centered programs to meet the holistic needs of our residents.
- Demonstrate and maintain empathy with a genuine interest in working with memory support aged care residents
- Fully approved Covid-19 vaccinated
- If not residing in the Caboolture Morton Bay area be prepared to commute. Free Staff parking is provided. There is public transport options at our door for those not wanting to drive.
