About the Business Unit
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programmes and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners and seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Corrections Victoria's Electronic Monitoring Services is a business unit within the Security and Intelligence Division. It maintains oversight of the state-wide electronic monitoring program and manages the 24/7 Electronic Monitoring Centre.
About the Role
The Manager, Electronic Monitoring is responsible for the management of staff and operations, as well as the leadership of strategic and work-programme objectives within Electronic Monitoring Services. The role involves stakeholder management and collaboration, management of electronic monitoring projects and continuous innovation. It is primarily based at the State-wide Services Building, Ravenhall, with occasional state-wide travel, overnight stays and possible work in Metropolitan Melbourne. The role may require on-call duties to support after-hours electronic monitoring operations.
Duties
Provide leadership, management, and oversight of Electronic Monitoring Services staff, operations, and procedures.
Manage key stakeholder relationships, collaborating to improve services and address service delivery issues, and provide authoritative advice on electronic monitoring.
Manage electronic monitoring business portfolios and oversee the management of electronic monitoring equipment.
Lead continuous-improvement strategies and projects to meet work-programme goals, using collaborative team processes and approaches.
Identify, explore and address emerging matters related to the use of electronic monitoring equipment and software.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in, or ability to quickly learn and use, Corrections Victoria and Department of Justice and Community Safety systems and applications.
Practical knowledge and understanding of a corrections environment, including emerging issues in the management of individuals on a range of post-sentence, community corrections and parole orders (desirable).
