Protecting Montana's environment is a top priority, and we are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects related to the investigation and cleanup of hazardous substance sites.
This role requires strong project management skills, as well as the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders and evaluate project alternatives relative to applicable environmental laws. The Environmental Project Officer must plan, coordinate, and direct interdisciplinary technical studies to ensure protection of Montana's environment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in earth science, physical, biological, environmental, or engineering, and two years of experience in natural resource processes, remediation, mine waste reclamation or other related hazardous substance investigation and cleanup. Preferred experience includes customer service, public speaking, project management, procurement, contracting and experience in program field.
