Tradelink Launceston is seeking an experienced Plumbing Sales Specialist to join our close-knit and long-tenured team.
This is more than a counter sales role. You'll act as a senior internal salesperson, driving trade sales, building strong relationships with local plumbers and builders, and proactively managing quotes and follow-ups.
This is a full-time role (38 hours per week) based in Launceston, TAS.
Your new role
Reporting to the Business Manager, you will play a key role in driving branch sales performance and supporting daily operations.
* Lead trade plumbing counter sales as your primary focus
* Provide expert plumbing product advice to trade customers
* Prepare quotes and proactively follow up to convert sales
* Conduct outbound calls and build strong customer relationships
* Manage purchase ordering and supplier follow-ups
* Coordinate deliveries and manage outstanding orders
* Assist with stock management and branch operations
* Support the showroom team when required
* Step into higher responsibility duties as needed
This is a fast-paced trade environment where initiative, product knowledge and strong customer engagement make the difference.
What you'll bring
* Proven plumbing / trade / building supplies industry experience (essential)
* Strong internal sales or trade counter background
* Confidence building relationships with tradespeople
* A proactive, sales-driven mindset
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy branch
* Natural leadership capability and willingness to step up
* Driver's licence (forklift licence preferred)
* A genuine desire to build a long-term career
