About the roles
Joule Resources is a specialist recruitment agency whose purpose is to find the best fit for every role and candidate. Several of our clients currently require senior civil designers to deliver their major projects. Both permanent and contract positions are available. The roles are based in Perth with strong progression opportunities in highly-renowned, award-winning and growing consultancies. Sector focuses include civil infrastructure, mining and O&G.
The ideal candidates will be comfortable with creating high quality engineering concept plans, designs and documentation for civil engineering projects from concept to completion. They should have experience with packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3d and/or 12d and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids.
Responsibilities
* Prepare high quality detailed design, drawings and documentation for civil engineering projects
* Work in conjunction with Engineering, Drafting and Detailing personnel from the initial planning stages of the project through to final construction
* Interface with the client regarding designs, providing advice and coordinating solutions
* Oversee and mentor junior designers
* Ensure HSEQ and other relevant client and industry standards are met
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in design and documentation of Civil engineering projects related to site design, land development, stormwater drainage, sewerage design, concrete design including pre and post-tensioning or bulk earthworks
* Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or 12D
* Strong knowledge of govt and Australian standards
* Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
