Key Responsibilities
* Independent Operations Management: Plan, coordinate, and run daily warehouse activities autonomously, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching products without direct supervision. Book Couriers & forwarders to meet delivery instructions.
* Inventory Control: Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts, and submit inventory data to Logistics for reconciliation.
* Documentation & Packaging: Ensure meticulous attention to detail in preparing all receiving and shipping documentation and ensuring high-quality, secure packaging of all outgoing shipments.
* Internal Coordination: Primary point of contact for the Logistics, Accounts, and Customer Relationship teams to coordinate outgoing shipments, resolve discrepancies, identifying potential NCRs for incoming stock and ensure smooth information flow.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Follow operational policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy, and secure work environment
* Production Support: Proactively assist the Production Machinist with tasks requiring two people, such as handling materials, moving bulky stock required for production or large components, or supporting packaging processes.
* Process Improvement & Reporting: Monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, demonstrating an understanding of operational best practices.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation, planning, and organisational skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail in inventory management, documentation, and packaging processes.
* Proficiency with common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a collaborative approach to working with other internal teams.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive work ethic.
* Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as necessary (e.g., up to ) and operate common warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, Wave high rise stock picker, pallet jack).
* Valid forklift operator certification/license.
Qualifications/Experience
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
