Youth Focus is a for-purpose organisation that creates brighter futures for young people in Western Australia by offering a range of no-cost mental health services. Established in 1994, we deliver innovative and accessible mental health services and programs across Western Australia to help young people aged 12 to 25. With now over 30 years' experience, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of young people and are excited to be developing a Youth Mental Health Hub on Southern Yamatji Country in Geraldton
This unique and innovative project brings together all levels of mental health support for young people under one roof. Services in the Hub will deliver support individualised to each young person, through strength-based independence, and empowering a young person's natural support network. To deliver this, our choice to collaborate, partner and integrate are central to best addressing the needs of young people in Geraldton.
As part of this ambition, we are establishing a Youth Enhanced Service in the Hub and are now seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the team

* Based at our Geraldton Youth Mental Health Hub
* Contract until December 2026, this position commences ASAP
About the Role
Reporting to the Clinical Lead, the Clinical Psychologist isa new opportunity to support young people through enhanced mental health services. This role isentrusted to deliver clinical services to young people in the Geraldton and surrounding areas experiencing complex mental health needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to young people, including CBT, psychotherapy, family therapy, and systems interventions within a community mental health setting.
* Conduct comprehensive psychological and diagnostic assessments using interviews, behavioural observations, psychometric tools, and systems evaluations to inform clinical care.
* Participate in clinical case reviews, multidisciplinary team meetings, and consult regularly with the Clinical Lead to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Provide clinical consultation, advice and supervision to internal staff, supporting clinical decision-making and professional development.
* Liaise with external community and clinical services to ensure coordinated, integrated care for young people within the YES program.
* Maintain accurate, timely case notes and records in line with Youth Focus policies and statutory requirements.
* Promote continuous quality improvement through participation in service innovation, evaluation, and research activities.
* Uphold ethical and legislative standards, responding to risks and incidents appropriately while fostering a recovery-oriented, youth-centric team culture.

About You
To be considered for this position, applicants will have:
* Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and AHPRA registration with endorsement in Clinical Psychology
* Demonstrated proficiency in clinical psychological assessment, therapy, and interview techniques with young people.
* Ability to appropriately utilise and adapt a variety of psychological assessments and treatment techniques for complex presentations.
* A high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with team members, other professionals and outside agencies.
* Must possess a deep understanding and appreciation for diversity within the workforce and within our client and stakeholder base.
* 'C' Class Driver's Licence and capacity to travel for work when needed.
