New Role in Alice Springs - Family Violence Practitioner
Tradewind is recruiting for a Family Violence Practitioner to join a new 12-month pilot program in Alice Springs. This role will expand local family violence support and work closely with housing services to help clients move into safe, stable homes.
About the Role
- Work alongside a community housing provider to support clients in 8 transitional homes for family violence survivors.
- Clients may stay for up to 18 months while a Tenancy Officer secures long-term housing.
- Continue providing support for 3 months after clients exit the program.
- Operate independently, with guidance from Family Violence Management.
Role Details
- Full-time | 12-month contract (possible extension)
- SCHADS Level 5 ($100k-$105K + super + salary packaging)
- Location: Alice Springs - local applicants encouraged
- Qualifications: Bachelor-level qualification ideal, but we welcome applicants with strong family violence experience and/or Identified candidates
About You
- Experience working with people impacted by family violence
- Skills in case management, safety planning, and referrals
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Knowledge of local services and housing options in Alice Springs
