Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner | Mental Health and Allied Health Services

About the Role
Senior clinical role involving complex functional assessment, behaviour support planning, and system-level intervention work. Supports patients with complex behaviours of concern and psychosocial disability.
The role is ideal for a practitioner assessed as Proficient or above under the NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Capability Framework.
You will work alongside Behaviour Support Practitioners, Psychologists and allied health clinicians delivering high‐quality, rights‐based and evidence‐informed supports.
Responsibilities
* Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
* Develop high‐quality Positive Behaviour Support Plans
* Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices where possible
* Work with participants presenting with complex behaviours of concern and psychosocial needs
* Collaborate with families, support teams, providers and stakeholders
* Deliver implementation support, coaching, training and consultation
* Maintain high‐quality documentation aligned with NDIS Commission requirements
* Contribute to service development, reflective practice and team culture
* Provide clinical guidance and peer support within the Behaviour Support team where appropriate
Qualifications & Experience
* NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability at Proficient level or above, or clear progression toward Proficient.
* Strong clinical assessment, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience supporting people with disability, mental health presentations and complex behaviours of concern.
* Trauma‐informed, human‐rights and person‐centred approach.
* Professional maturity, sound judgement and accountability.
* Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Relevant qualification in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Disability, Mental Health or related field.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* NSW Working with Children Check.
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
* OCG Child Safe Training, or willingness to complete.
