Key Responsibilities:
* Coaching and supporting team members to achieve a vision of zero workplace incidents.
* Developing and implementing comprehensive safety management plans, ensuring effective leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
* Empowering personnel to take ownership of health and safety across all levels of the project.
* Designing and maintaining an effective health and safety system.
* Leading the development of a robust safety culture on site to ensure the well-being of all individuals on site.
* Managing projects and resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with tertiary qualifications in a related field.
* At least five years' experience in a similar role with extensive expertise in an operational mining environment.
* Extensive experience working with workers' compensation, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to influence and implement strategic and cultural change.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
