Video Editor – Travel & Lifestyle Reels (Freelance)
We are seeking a creative freelance video editor to transform a large collection of vacation photos and video clips into two polished edits: a short highlight reel (1–3 minutes) suitable for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or a cinematic montage, and a longer keepsake video (5–10 minutes) for family memories. The role requires solid storytelling, an upbeat editing style, and the ability to craft engaging visuals from extensive raw material. This project is ideal for emerging editors or students who enjoy working on energetic travel and lifestyle content, with potential for future collaboration if successful.
Responsibilities
Review and organize a large collection of photos and video clips to identify the best material
Edit a 1–3 minute highlight reel optimized for social platforms, with a fun and cinematic style
Create a longer 5–10 minute keepsake video designed for family viewing and memory sharing
Add music, transitions, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and emotional impact
Ensure both edits reflect a cohesive, upbeat, and engaging narrative of the trip
Deliver final videos in formats suitable for both social sharing and personal archiving
Complete the project within two weeks of receiving the materials
Qualifications
Experience in video editing with a portfolio showcasing creative and dynamic work
Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Strong sense of rhythm, pacing, and visual storytelling
Ability to create engaging transitions and apply music that enhances the overall mood
Experience editing travel, lifestyle, or personal memory reels is a plus
