Job Description
The purpose of this role is to undertake legal work on behalf of the Department of Police and Emergency Management, providing support and expertise in matters related to family violence as part of the Safe at Home strategy. This involves undertaking litigation, conducting research, and collaborating with other departments to achieve a safer community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake legal work on behalf of the Department of Police and Emergency Management.
* Conduct research and provide recommendations on family violence prevention strategies.
* Collaborate with other departments to achieve a safer community.
* Satisfy pre-employment checks.
Requirements:
* Admitted or entitled to be admitted as a Barrister or practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.
* More than 2 years relevant post-admission experience.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
